Sister Ruth Anne Lichter received a Staff Recognition Award from Cardinal Stitch University on January 20. Sister was nominated by the faculty of the College of Nursing where she has been a secretary for the last 18 years.
In giving tribute to Sister Ruth Anne, the staff development committee had this to say:
"Our final award recipient is an amazing asset to Stritch and to her department. She is the accurate source for much information sought by faculty and students alike. She has a great respect for the dignity of every human being.
"When called upon for assistance, Sister's response is immediate and willing, and given with great kindness, gentleness, and a smile. Sister is meticulous in the completion of her duties.
"In the truest sense, she 'opens the doors for everyone,' being the first to arrive in the morning. She prepares classrooms and equipment for use in order to assist faculty, staff, and students in completing their tasks with a minimum of fuss.
"Sister has a deep appreciation of the Fanciscan tradition and values, and demonstrates them in her daily activities and dealing with others."
