International Day of Peace
Notre Dame of Elm Grove

School Sisters of Notre Dame, associates, friends and over 200 students from St. Mary School, Elm Grove and Notre Dame Middle School, Milwaukee gathered by the Peace Pole on grounds of Notre Dame of Elm Grove to pray for peace on September 21, 2007.

Note: In 1981, the United Nations established the International Day of Peace to be observed as a day of global ceasefire and nonviolence, devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.
