S. Mary Cecilius Sliger . . .
was featured in an article called "Music to her ears" in the November 20, 2006 issue of the Kenosha News. The story relayed a 40th anniversary celebration held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, formerly St. George Church. The event commemorated the choir's singing tour through Colorado. The guest of honor was Sister Mary Cecilius who led the all-girl choir from 1961 to 1967. The former students accolades about sister included: "She's like my other mother. She shaped me as a person."

SSNDs Observe International Peace Day . . .
The headline in the September 29, 2006 issue of the Elm Leaves newspaper read "School Sisters of Notre Dame hope peace is more than a dream." In her article, Lisabeth Passalis-Bain highlighted details of the outdoor prayer service held on September 21 at Notre Dame of Elm Grove. About 200 people participated, including sisters and their quests, including 100 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students from St. Mary's School.

Mount Calvary SSNDs . . .
celebrating the theme "Touch the Earth with Gentleness" the sisters built a parade float made with recycled materials. Their picture appeared in Fond du Lac's The Reporter. Click here to see the photo and more.

S. Mary Denis O'Reilly and S. Mary Brigid O'Reilly . . .

held in high esteem for their exemplary service to the children of St. Mary School in Alexandria, Indiana since the 1980s. An article thanking them and wishing them well in their retirement was published in The Catholic Moment, diocesan newspaper on July 30, 2006. Click here to see the article.
