Jubilarian – 2009
Mary Denis O'Reilly, SSND
Professed in 1939
Sister Mary Denis celebrates 70 years as a School Sister of Notre Dame. She ministered as a teacher and school administrator.
A meaningful time in my ministry…
I loved every minute of teaching – mostly of teaching kindergarten and teachers. I really enjoyed all the grades I taught and 13 summers I taught methods and reading courses.
What drew you to the SSND Community?
I was drawn to the School Sisters of Notre Dame by a desire to “do something for God.”
What would you like people today to know about the School Sisters of Notre Dame?
I would like people to know that we will always help wherever we can and especially with prayers.
What is your current ministry?
I currently serve through my prayers and presence.
