Sister Dolores Marie Jehl celebrates 60 years as a School Sister of Notre Dame. She ministered as a teacher, college professor and pastoral care worker.
A meaningful time in my ministry…
I enjoyed teaching home economics and English in Chicago and Detroit high schools. Another very special time in my ministry was working with senior citizens in Fort Wayne and caring for my mother until she died.
What drew you to the SSND Community?
I was drawn to SSND by the good example of my teachers at Central Catholic in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
What would you like people today to know about the School Sisters of Notre Dame?
SSND is a fantastic order to be a member of. It’s been a privilege to have educated young people. Many of them still keep in touch.
