The School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) is an international community of women who have positively influenced the lives of millions since our 1833 founding by Mother Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger in Bavaria, Germany. We have been in Wisconsin since 1850, when Mother Caroline Friess was put in charge of the North American Missions and established our motherhouse in Milwaukee. More>

NOTRE DAME OF ELM GROVE
ADDED TO HISTORICAL REGISTERS
After its addition to the Wisconsin Historical Register on February 18, 2011, Notre Dame of Elm Grove, referred to on the preservation application and listing as "Visitation Convent Complex, WI" was officilally listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 25, 2011. MORE>

NOTRE DAME MIDDLE SCHOOL EXPANDS
After 16 successful years, Notre Dame Middle School, Milwaukee is answering the calls of the community and expanding to include a primary school for grades K5 through 4. Starting with the 2012-13 school year, the new primary school campus will be located at 1115 S. 7th St. in the St. Patrick Parish school building, seven blocks from the current facility.
